Who We Are

Leaders in mental health and well-being since 1922.

Believed to be the first charitable organisation formed for the benefit of psychiatric patients in Australia, the Mental Hospital After Care and Comforts Fund Association Incorporated was established by Susan Casson MBE JP, in 1922. The name was officially changed to Casson Homes Incorporated in 1984.

Casson Homes and Casson Communities specialise in caring for people living with mental illness, providing individualised support with kindness and respect. We believe in diversity and inclusion, doing everything we can to help people from all walks of life, on their journey to recovery.

Our residential facilities include St. Rita’s Nursing Home, Woodville House, transitional housing and housing for the homeless. We have a NDIS Division and Art Program under Casson Communities
